Visiting the Callenish Stone Circle. The Stones are more than 5000 years old. They were moved to this spot in the neolithic times. They are quite majestic. When I arrived the gardeners were using whipper snippers to trim grass around the stones. it was a great contrast and a sign that modern times are often noisy and very obtrusive! Fortunately, after a cream tea in the blackhouse near the stones, the gardeners had a break so I was able to soak up the atmosphere. I am glad that I made the journey to see them.!
